pros:
very good 3D for the price
5+ hours on battery for www/ ~2 hours in games
Plays NFS HP2 good on max preferences/ perfect on average resolution
not heavy
look and feel is very good/ plastic is not cheap
cons:
screen is not perfect, but better then Asus G Series
noisy cooler in games/ not calm on idle
no mini joystick, average ergonomics of kb
Bought it directly from Lenovo with "super special" deal. They ship it for 3 weeks from China and didn't match the price. I learned my lesson. Will never buy from them directly.

Okay first thing first. I did not actually buy this computer from Amazon, I purchased it from a Microsoft retail store and it is actually not a U36SD-A1 but a U36SD-RBK5 but as far as I can tell
the only difference is the RBK5 does not come with built in bluetooth. No big deal for me.
For those of you who don't feel like reading all of the following, I'll summarize this review into pros and cons.

I know with a 14 inch laptop you're not expecting to get great speakers, but my 7-year old Dell laptop put this Vaio VPCEG to shame. You can hardly hear the speakers, and when you do, they're
scratchy and tinny to the max. It's amazing to me that the engineers can't figure out how to put acceptable speakers in a smaller laptop. You'll have to go right out and get portable speaker
upgrade for this machine.
